The MOST Powerful Personal Statement For YOU

I Can!

This is probably the most powerful personal statement YOU can ever apply to YOUR life.

Napoleon Hill directly hinted at this with his quote:
'Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.'

Henry Ford is quoted as saying:
'Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right.'

YOU Can!

Say it... think it... live it:

I Can!

It's simple... it's positive... it's productive... it's life-changing.

What was that you were thinking of doing?

YOU Can!

How will YOU ever know if YOU do not give it YOUR best shot.

What's MOST Important To YOU?

Is it YOUR health?

To gain weight... to lose weight... to get fit.

Is it YOUR financial affairs - YOUR wealth?

To make more money for an objective... to put away for your retirement... to travel.

Is it YOUR happiness?

To feel good about YOURSELF and what YOU do.

Is it YOUR family... friends..?

For YOU to be able to make a difference, to do positive things for others.

Is it getting to know YOUR Maker... or seeking spiritual answers?

Getting to work out why YOU are here... what YOUR purpose is on this planet.

Here's the thing... most people don't take the time to sit back and reflect on this question:

What's MOST Important To YOU?

Do this now.

Take a couple of minutes... 2 or 3, that's all... and reflect on your thoughts.

What's the first thing that enters into YOUR mind?

What's the second... and the third?

Does a a farmer plant one seed to grow an abundant crop?

Hey, some people have a few important things to achieve... those are the things that are important to YOU!

YOU're just going to be a bit busier than others!

Fine tune your thoughts a bit.

How important..?

Important enough... worthwhile enough... to begin, right now, to make them happen?

Can YOU do it? That's some of what we discussed this week:

1. Are YOU Making Progress Towards YOUR Destiny? - working every day towards YOUR worthwhile goal.

2. Can YOU Change YOUR Life In An Instant? - well... can YOU?

Can YOU Change YOUR Life In An Instant?

Well, let's build up to answering this question in another way:

Can someone else or some event change your life in an instant?

You betcha!

Just ask anyone connected to the victim of a serious car accident, a plane crash, a stroke, a heart attack, a diagnosis of cancer... a totally unexpected event, perhaps caused by someone else completely unknown to you, can absolutely change your life in an instant.

So YES... in my opinion and experience... YOU can absolutely change YOUR life in an instant too!

Here's what it takes... a flip of a switch in YOUR mind... a simple decision... that enough is enough, that it's time for change, that it is out with the old (behavior) and in with the new.

It's a mental shift... a breakthrough moment... disrupting your old pattern.

It's having the guts to say to the guys when they say 'let's go for a quick beer' (that you know always ends up in a lost night out): 'Sorry, I'm putting on my running-shoes and hitting the road for an hour'.

'Using the power of decision gives you the capacity to get past any excuse to change any and every part of your life in an instant!' - Anthony Robbins

It's that simple!

The challenge thereafter is to build a solid base foundation beneath the new life-changing decision that YOU have taken. This cements the new behavior into a regular life-changing pattern or habit.

Do YOU Conform To Mediocrity?

Here's a question.

Do YOU have a mind of YOUR own?

Do YOU have unique skills and talents?

I'm betting YOU do... just as I do.

So why should we allow society (others) to beat us down into conforming to their mediocrity.

I heard a senior municipal official on radio this morning objecting heatedly to local community residents filling in potholes (some as big as koi ponds) that had not been attended to for over a year. And this, after trying all normal processes to get the municipality to do its job.

What did this absurd official expect? That this community should suffer the continuing disastrous effects (cars tyres and axles were being destroyed beyond repair) of conforming to his mediocrity?

Do YOU really need someone else's permission to change YOUR life... to excel?

Of course not!

Are YOU prepared to step out of line, to stand alone, to break away from the pack, to trust in YOUR own mind, YOUR own talents, to march to the beat of your own drum?

Are YOU ready to take flak for what YOU believe in?

Are YOU ready to give YOURSELF permission to be the best YOU can be?

Then buy yourself a white T-shirt and paint a big red target on it.. and go out there and do something extraordinary that conforms to YOU and YOUR value system.

To succeed in YOUR life means YOU having the courage to take action where others fear to tread... often despite deep and disappointing criticism from many quarters.

Take a step to break away from conforming to the mediocrity imposed by others.

Do something that keeps YOU in control of YOUR life.

Do something that adds to YOUR personal growth.

Deep Thought - Who Is In Control Of YOUR Life?

YOU!

Who is responsible for YOUR success?

YOU!

Who is responsible for the way YOU look at things?

YOU!

Who is responsible for YOUR health, wealth & happiness?

YOU!

Who can absolutely change YOUR life?

YOU!

Who should contemplate and action this pattern of thought?

YOU & ME!

What Makes For A SUCCESSFUL Life?

Phew. Have you got a spare lifetime or two to work this one out?

Well... what is 'life' - MY Life - YOUR Life?

I heard a speaker say once that it can be as insignificant as the dash (-) on a tombstone, signifying the day that individuals are born, and the day that they pass away (01/03/1922 - 22/06/2002).

That's not my idea of living my life... it must have more MEANING than that!

So who or what gives my life that meaning?

Who or what determines whether my life is successful or not?

These are surely the questions that many people are struggling with internally... some throughout their lives.

What is certain is that we are all born unique, with different backgrounds, different circumstances, experiencing different events in our lives affecting our very own unique definitions of what makes for a successful life.

Some use metaphors to explain their attitude to their lives.

Some say 'Life is a Journey... not a destination' - to prepare themselves to take a regular breather and enjoy the ride.

Some say 'Life is an Adventure' in recognition of their expectation of the unexpected to which they will need to react or respond.

Some say 'Life is a Rollercoaster Ride' in recognition of the peaks and valleys, successes and disappointments, ups and downs that affect everyone's lives.

Even Forrest Gump's momma had her own metaphor: 'Life's a box of chocolates, Forrest. You never know what you're gonna get.'

Perhaps signifying for her that life is there to be tasted and enjoyed to the full in the realisation that you are not going to like some of the experiences as much as others.

I believe that this life is MY life, your life is YOUR life, and that our individual definitions of success may well be very different, and that I want to have as much control (power of choice) over MY chosen direction, journey, adventure in life as I can.

I'm guessing then that I have a lot to do with taking personal responsibility for giving MY life true meaning or finding/discovering MY true purpose in life.

Makes life interesting, huh. Certainly not boring.

YOU Ask: Can I Influence My LIFE.. My DESTINY?

Great question! Let's think about it.

YOU find yourself in a deep, dark uncharted jungle following an animal track, when YOU come to a split in the track.

One track branches off to the left... one to the right.

You hear a roar of falling water coming from down the left... and a roar of what seems like a mighty animal coming from down the right... and the path behind you is almost impassable - too slippery and treacherous to go back.

Who or what is responsible for the decision you take... the sound of roaring water... the roar of some unknown animal... a known treacherous route... or YOU?

Come to think of it... which continent is this deep, dark jungle in... Africa, Asia, South America... and, who or what is responsible for YOU being where YOU are right now?

And, when you get to the end of your life - your ultimate destiny on this planet - is there a chance that you might look back upon your life and recognise that YOU are where YOU are because of that decision YOU took in that jungle so many decades before.

YOU Ask: Can I Influence My LIFE... My DESTINY?

For better, for worse... methinks the answer is YES!

Can other people or influences affect your life... your destiny?

Methinks, YES... to the extent that YOU allow them to.

What do YOU think?

Are YOU Making Progress Towards YOUR Destiny?

Here's a thought:

Am I making Constant And Never-Ending Daily Progress Towards A Worthwhile Goal?

Clearly a thought derived from some past inputs from Anthony Robbins and Paul J. Meyer .

Let's work on this to read: Are YOU making Constant And Never-Ending Daily Progress Towards A Worthwhile Goal... of YOUR Own Choosing!

Can this be the reason why so many people are not exactly 'happy' with their lives?

Can it be that they don't know where they're going... that they don't have a goal, or a series of goals, to gauge their progress on their journey to their destiny in life?

Could it be that others have influenced the directions that they are forced to travel... that they feel that they have no choice in life?

Think about this:

Are YOU making Constant And Never-Ending Daily Progress Towards A Worthwhile Goal... of YOUR Own Choosing!

It seems a statement that is pro-active, positive, results-oriented and all about personal control of your own life.

Hmmm... something to think about and expand upon or simplify into something profound.

For me, this very post is MY today's Constant And Never-Ending Daily Progress Towards A Worthwhile Goal... of MY Own Choosing!

That is, the development of WISDOMS.
