Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. — Mark Twain
Strange is our situation here upon earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to divine a purpose. From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know - that man is here for the sake of other men. — Albert Einstein
The Dilemma
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk rejection.
To place your dreams before a crowd is to risk ridicule.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrows, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow, or love.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave - he has forfeited his freedom.
Only a person who takes risks is FREE

To live we HAVE to risk.
ReplyDeleteWe do not have a choice.
We risk when we get out of bed in the morning,
we risk when we get into our cars, taxis or busses,
we risk when we open our mouths to speak,
we risk when we stay silent,
we risk when we offer friendship and love,
we risk when we accept friendship and love,
SO EMBRACE RISK, ENJOY RISK, LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR NEXT RISK!
Risk is what makes life worth living, exciting.
Life IS Risk!
