Was contemplating on the thought that perhaps a dream is nothing more than YOUR self-expectation in moving colour... when the thought moved on to the concept of this self-expectation perhaps having the power of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Wikipedia: Self-fulfilling prophecy has this interesting opening line:
A self-fulfilling prophecy is a prediction that directly or indirectly causes itself to become true, by the very terms of the prophecy itself, due to positive feedback between belief and behavior.This blends with an interesting few points by Denis Waitley written in - 2. Refreshing article Trevor. Especially the momentum part. What a lot of young people don't get is the momentum bit.
ReplyDeleteI find that my friends are a bit averse to the dream and purpose messages because we are on the whole quite a cynical bunch.
But I like this article because its simple. You are on a path somewhere. Its up to you to make your journey and destination a positive place, and keep looking upwards.
And I totally agree with (and really like) your definition of a dream: MY self-expectation in moving colour (HD)! It places responsibility on ME to watch what I'm visualising, verbalising...
